Hey Joe,
If you are in the collapsed header mode, we used to have space that accounted
for the little "attachment icon". That way if you clicked on a message with an
attachment, the date wouldn't have to get shoved over to make room for the icon.
The icon would just show up. 

Looks like this padding has gotten lost in the shuffle. The date runs right up
to the edge of the window. clicking on a message with an attachment causes the
date to jiggle to the left to make room for the attachment icon.

There seems to be ample pre-defined room in the brief headers for an attachment 
to populate using build 2001-08-27-03 on Windows 2000.  Verified FIXED.
