You'll need to check out part of the mozilla.org repository, where the Thunderbird site is being stored. You can:

svn co https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/mozilla.org/branches/staging/thunderbird/

Please translate the file in the mozilla.org svn repository for the Thunderbird 15 What's New page, that is:

/de/thunderbird/15.0/whatsnew/index.html

This page is a completely new redesign, and all the content has been rewritten, so everything is in English and needs translating.

If you want to provide translated images, you can place them in:
https://svn.mozilla.org/projects/mozilla.org/branches/staging/thunderbird/img/whatsnew/l10n/
The image names should be:
chatnetworks-de.png
donottrack-de.png
filelink-de.png
newaustralis-de.png

Once the images are on the server, the page will automatically update the <img> tags. You do not need to change them.

The page on the staging server is:
http://www.allizom.org/de/thunderbird/15.0/whatsnew
Attached patch First diff (obsolete) — Splinter Review
The page is translated (r108481). Thomas, please check.

I’ll work on the screenshots later.

Attached patch Second diffSplinter Review
Screenshots added (r108482) & fixed an error (r108483).

What’s that strange effect around the images? It covers the borders of the screenshots, which, in case of the DNT image even hides the important part.

Also, could you please somehow remove the line breaks in the „back to the top“ links?

The CSS effects around the images are part of the design and look of the page. Previously we changed the images themselves with gradients, but doing it in CSS is easier and simpler, and also ensures that every page will have the same effects on the images.

The fact that it covers the checkbox in that image just means that the image needs to be changed to take into account that ~10 pixels on the border are taken up by the effects.

It looks to me like you're using Windows XP, or possibly some theme? Your UI fonts are bigger and the tab icons take up a lot more space. I would take another screen with a larger field of view that leaves the "do not track" checkbox further up, and then just resize it down to fit.

I'll see what I can do to give this element more room...
I've just modified the image (r108489). If this doesn't work, I'll have to take another screenshot.

The final "Learn more" also isn't completely on the white background. If you could change that, too, please ...

This looks okay now.

It looks like it is on the white background to me.

Huh, on Ubuntu, it looks fine to me, too. It only looked wrong on Windows XP.
Ok, I think Thunderbird is going to be released tomorrow, so I’m closing this bug. If I get my review at a later point, I may update the page.
