Sometimes a line of text in lwn.net articles is jagged. Scrolling a little way away and then scrolling back or zooming in and out fixes the problem.

Looks like pixel snapping/rounding error in graphics.

Looks like something on layer boundaries.

Most likely a pixel snapping/round error on a paint boundary (which may or may not coincide with a tile boundary).
