User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0.1
Build ID: 20120907231835

Steps to reproduce:

Scrolling a page: http://www.joomla.org/announcements/release-news/5460-joomla-3-0-beta1-released.html

Actual results:

Text gets striked-through on random when scrolling into view, usually links, headlines or within lists.
Does not happen when Firebug opened in same window.
Cannot send a screenshot, because screen is re-rendered before rectifying the wrong text, will try to send a photo

Please try running Firefox using a fresh profile with no add-ons, etc., to check whether anything like that might be involved.

If you disable "Use hardware acceleration" in Preferences / Advanced, does this make any difference?
I tried with blank profile with and without hardware acceleration, got the same (striked) results.
Funny enough, while writing this comment, the buttons below (UNCONFIRMED, Save Changes) are striked through, too. Moving the mouse-cursor or tabbing onto the button hides the strikes.
Does the problem still happen with Firefox 16? With a Nightly build (from http://nightly.mozilla.org/)?

From your photo, this looks to me more like a Graphics glitch than a Layout problem; moving to the Graphics component. Any gfx folk recognize what might be going on here?

Looks like an invalidation problem. Lorenz, can you try a nightly build from http://nightly.mozilla.org and see if you can still reproduce?
Same on 19.0a1 (2012-10-22)
Severity: normal → S3

Unable to reproduce in current versions.
