802364 - Android service-based updater lacks of logging preferences

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #792992 +++

The new update service handles logging differently to toolkit updater code. 
This makes it very hard to debug the new UpdateService.
For example I'm unable to get the update URL.

Could You add back in support for app.update.log or equivalent?

I miss mostly "AUS:SVC Checker:getUpdateURL" and "Downloader:downloadUpdate" from it.
