802996 - PFS update required for new Shockwave v11.6.8.638 release

We have planned for Shockwave v11.6.8.638 release on 23-Oct-2012. We need the installer hash value updates from mozilla for this release.

Currently we are testing our installers. Will post the hash values for the update later.

2 Issues:

1. When we try Shockwave installation from Firefox, Plugin Finder Service dialog is serving the older version only, ie., 11.6.7.637. So we asked you go live with your changes for 638.

2. In the above github.com link the version field modified says 11.6.7.638. This is not correct. It should be 11.6.8.638.

Can you please update.

In the addons/marketplace world we close bugs when the patches are in, not when it is live (which is what happened with comment 8).  I'm going to investigate putting this somewhere other than AMO since adjusting our push schedule for these patches is going to become hard/impossible due to pending contracts and agreements.

Anyway, closing this bug, I'll try to get the patch out today.

@Wil, Thank you for your clarification on Bug Fixed V/s patch going live.
We just wanted to know if there is a way to get a notification for us when the our specific patch goes live.

Shyama: nothing automated, I'm afraid.  We push Thursdays at 2pm, but that may be changing soon also.  The Marketplace may affect the AMO push schedule.

There was positive feedback on moving PFS off AMO in which case pushes will be able to happen whenever so I'm still focused on that.
