I'm not sure if I see this all the time, but the portraits that appear in the drop down menu when you click on the "Messages" icon in the upper right appear too reddish to me.
They are noticeably different than the portraits in the sidebar and on facebook.com? I don't believe I've experienced this before.

Yes, it is very odd. The images in the chat window from SocialAPI at the bottom are fine, as are the images in the "Notifications" menu at the top right.  It is just the Messages drop down in particular.
I haven't noticed this in the last day, so I'll close for now...
