User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0
Build ID: 20121024073032

Steps to reproduce:

If i go into youtube and want to watch a video at a proper resolution (720p of higher) my screen often turns green and the video starts to fast forward till the end.
If i watch the video at lower resolution (480p or lower) the video just stops and i get the buffering sign even though the video is fully buffered.

Actual results:

The video didn't play properly it started to fast forward and give me a green screen.

Expected results:

The video just should have played normally in the resolution i had it set too
Why do you think that this is a browser issue and not a flash player bug ?
Does it work with other browsers that use the same plugin (all browsers except IE) ?

i have chrome installed on my pc as well and as fas as i know it uses the same plug in as my firefox and i dont have this problem on chrome.
Please try the Firefox safemode first: Help/restart with addons disabled
If that doesn't help try to disable the protected mode in Flash :
http://forums.adobe.com/message/4468493 (scroll down to last resort).

>as fas as i know it uses the same plug in as my firefox
Not exact the same plugin. They delivers a modified version of it with chrome but you can change to the external plugin.

Is this issue something new ?
Going in safe mode doesn't help the issue still occurs
and that with the flash (last resort) i tried as well cuz i have posted this bug also on the adobe forum and they asked me to do this as well without success.

The issue is not new (well its my first time i had it) but i has been going on for almost 2 month now. and the only thing i can think of is resinstalling my pc but to be honest i am not in the mood to reinstall my entire pc for videos on the internet.
Do you have the latest video drivers installed ?
Yes i have installed the new driver of nvidea 1 week ago (also got this solution offered on the adobe forum and didnt help.
There is not much that I could suggest and Flash is working fine (more or less) for me.

Which Flash Plugin do you use ?
- enter about:plugins in Firefox to get a list of installed plugins.

Try a new, additional Firefox profile
- http://support.mozilla.org/kb/Managing%20profiles

Have you tried to disable the hardware acceleration in flash ?
- right click on a running flash applet and select settings

You can try to reset the flash player to the default settings.
- Close any browser window and open a windows file explorer window: windows-key+E
Enter the path %appdata% in the explorer (replace "computer") and delete the macromedia folder.
the flashplayer i am using is Shockwave Flash 11.5.502.110 i have tried a newer one (beta version) but didn't help i also tried a new profile and disabled the hardware acceleration and i reset to default settings and nothing helps the issue still occurs.
I'm out of ideas :-(
i am 2 :P i think the only way to get rid of it is to reinstall my pc and i am so not in the mood to do that :P but i think i have 2 well thanks anyway for trying.

if there are still others who might have ideas pls present them.
