What makes it feel slow/broken? Marking as perf for now, but this may not be a performance problem. This happens consistently. Almost every time I enter or exit an app, the screen will flicker for .5 to 1.0 seconds. It happens more after the intial launch. This happens on the following apps: E-Mail, SMS, Settings, Calendar, Camera, Music, and more... Did it prevent you from doing what you wanted? Why? The main issue here is perception of quality. It looks like a bug or that the OS is poorly made. This should NEVER happen in a finished product. How does this make you feel? [ ] :) I feel happy about it [X] :| Meh [ ] :( I'm upset [ ] >:O I'm angry Device: Unagi, Nov. 22 Nightly. Details: (technical factors, FPS, app startup time, ms elapsed, etc) Bonus: can you attach a video of the problem? Yes

Hi Peter, minor thing: I edited "[Gaia::System][perf][uxtrust]" from the summary. Capturing these in whitebaord and keywords should be enough. Duping them in the summary just makes it harder to read in search results, etc.
Summary: [Gaia::System][perf][uxtrust] Screen flickering on app entry and app exit creates a sense of poor quality → Screen flickering on app entry and app exit creates a sense of poor quality

Bulk edit is a bit disingenuous. Apologies for the bugmail spam.

nominating for blocking-basecamp+. This may seem like a small thing, but in my opinion we can't ship with a bug like this. It makes our product look unprofessional.

This will be fixed by bug 808231. Can we just dupe this?
I'd rather not just make this a duplicate of bug 808231, because that only covers transition to homescreen. I see this throughout the OS in almost every screen transition (going into and out of apps).

It will address this kind of flickering, too. Let's make this depend on bug 808231 then.

Bug 808231 landed. Can you please try if you still see the flickering with an up-to-date build or the next Nightly that includes this?
