When we merge central -> aurora every 6 weeks we don't immediately update the web pages to point at the new version because we want to QA it a bit first. This causes a problem because the in-repository version gets updated at merge time. We need to work around this in some way.

For the record, we're talking about this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/aurora/

bug 787373 is similar but talking about desktop. We worked around it by changing cronjobs to not clean up old builds in the latest-* directories as quickly. Nick, you said in that bug that mobile replaces the latest-* directories every day - maybe you were thinking of b2g though? I looked through the logs and found this:
  POST_UPLOAD_CMD=post_upload.py --tinderbox-builds-dir mozilla-central-android-armv6 -b mozilla-central-android-armv6 -p mobile -i 20121213030751 --revision edd45de440ba --builddir en-US --release-to-tinderbox-dated-builds --release-to-latest --release-to-dated

...which seems to say that mobile is using the same upload logic as desktop. Aki thinks we are, too.

I'm pretty sure this patch should fix this bug...
