The settings I used when attempting the move
When I try to move a page from one place to another, and specify as the new slug the name of a page that already exists, instead of being told the name of the existing page being the conflict, I'm given a list of the subpages of the page I'm trying to move. See screenshots for details.

I think this has been fixed. Page move has gotten pretty stable. I remember getting a "page moved failed" email here.
