Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_7_5) AppleWebKit/537.11 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/23.0.1271.101 Safari/537.11

Steps to reproduce:

Tried to add Google Calendar. I use Google 2-Form factor authentication, with an application-specific password.

Actual results:

Every time I open Thunderbird it asks for google password even when I check "remember password." Google Calendar never loads.

The following error messages occur:
(this one only once)
[calGoogleCalendar] Error getting items:
[Exception... "null" nsresult: "0x80040111 (NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE)" location: "JS frame :: resource://calendar/modules/calUtils.jsm -> file:///Users/myUserName/Library/Thunderbird/Profiles/85yyhkuo.default/extensions/%7Ba62ef8ec-5fdc-40c2-873c-223b86925cc%7D/js/calGoogleCalendar.js :: cGC_getItems_response :: line 836" data: no]

(this one lots of times, over and over)
[calGoogleCalendar] Adding item https://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/myusername%40gmail.com/private/full to queue

Expected results:

Google calendar should have loaded into the calendar tab.
I am using the Daily version of Thunderbird, with Provider 0.18 & Lightning 2.2a1
Hardware: x86 → x86_64
Component: Untriaged → Provider: GData
Product: Thunderbird → Calendar
Version: Trunk → Lightning 2.2
Might be possible that the Provider for Google Calendar version is too old and doesn't work with current Lightning or Thunderbird or both. Have you tried the 0.21pre nightly test builds that can be found in the same folder as the Lightning nightly test builds?

I downloaded the nightly build of Provider from this site:
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/calendar/lightning/nightly/2013/01/2013-01-06-04-20-03-comm-aurora/

and it that seems to work. I have bi-directional access now.

For the record, it is Provider .20pre

I would suggest bumping up the Daily integration to use Provider .20pre(or higher nightly build) to ensure full compatibility.
If you are using comm-central nightly builds of Thunderbird and Lightning I would suggest to use the comm-central nightly builds of Provider for Google Calendar too. Don't mix comm-central and comm-aurora nightly builds. As written above they can be found in the same folder, i.e. https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/nightly/latest-comm-central/
