Details

After upgrading from Thunderbird 16 to 17 and opening an RSS article in a new tab, the full HTML web page is displayed even though the summary option is selected. Toggling the setting did not help. I created a new profile and added some feeds and the setting still failed. I downgraded back to Thunderbird 16 with the same profile and the setting works correctly.
Message->Open Feed Message governs what opens on enter/dbl click in the list.
View->Feed Message Body As governs what opens on list contextmenu open.  

17 fixed a bug which didn't follow this correctly.
