Verified with 2013-02-22 nightly built from http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/885cde564ff3 We'll tackle performance evaluation later and it should not block this because we're not assuming performance is awful and will need to be backed out.

Re-verfied for it4 testing and everything passed, other then two differences mentioned below. Used the following build:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2013-04-07-03-08-41-mozilla-central/

Also went through the following test cases:

- Ensured that opening a new tab display's the "Navigation Progress" indicator
- Ensured that the "Navigation Progress" indicator is appearing even if the "Navigation App Bar" is not visible
- Received the same behavior as Bug 856023. The Navigation Progress indicator appears once the website has been loaded instead of showing the progress bar while the website is being loaded (When "Always Show Tabs" is selected)

There is a few differences between the story and the actual behavior:

- The "Navigation Progress" appears at the top instead at the bottom
- The "Navigation Progress" is blue instead of orange
Hi Asa, please see Comment #3 from Kamil if the two differences are acceptable.
Flags: needinfo?(asa)
We're going to kill the always show tabs option for v1 and the other pieces you mention are covered already in the main UI redesign that moves these toolbars and progress indicator to the bottom of the main window. We can unhook the always show tabs defect from this and move the potential performance impact to the fast and fluid tracking epic and stories (as soon as we get those set up.)
