Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/18.0
Build ID: 20130201190421

Steps to reproduce:

Select text within a plain-text email and copy it.

Actual results:

Pasting into e.g. office application overwrites existing formats, because Thunderbird did copy formats too; pasting to text editor, copying from there and then pasting to office application retains existing formats, as there is no format information in the clipboard.

Expected results:

Copying from plain-text emails (or plain-text view of html emails) should never include format information, as there is no format with plain text. I cannot recall this wrong behavior from previous versions, so I think it has been introduced only recently.
I know there are extensions "Copy As Plain Text" and "Copy Plain Text 2" allowing to copy anything without formats, but with plain-text messages this never has been a problem.
