Summary: Tracking bug for etherpad developement accessibility → Tracking bug for etherpad development accessibility
Might there be ways to make etherpad-lite more accessible for users of screen reader software and voice input software? I haven't found a good discussion of the issues. An etherpad maintainer suggested creating a theme that would make it more accessible, using ep_themes (https://github.com/JohnMcLear/ep_themes). A blog entry https://blog.mozilla.org/it/2011/10/07/new-etherpad/comment-page-1/#comment-901 describes the difficulty of working with etherpad theming, which is spread across many javascript and css files.

I'd love to find help outlining features that might make etherpad more accessible. Even if we can't fix them now, maybe describing what doesn't work would be helpful. Then, others could step in to try to fix problems one by one.

I'm glad we have a tracking bug, but I think the reason we don't have any actual bugs to link to from the tracking bug is because Etherpad is so broken for screen readers that it seems hopeless. Surely we can at least test for and list some specific problems.
After speaking to the etherpad team I can conform what they have fixed a lot of the issues with ally

Marking as fixed due to been confirmed from their end
