The subfolders of a folder in the folder pane are always sorted alphabetically. This can sometimes be very annoying, e.g. if one of the subfolders itself has been expanded with subfolders and other folder follow below, maybe even not visible because of the long folder list.

Example:

Local Folders
  Inbox
    Important
    Mozilla
      Bugmail
      comm-central checkins
      Planet
      tb-enterprise
      tb-planning
    Work

What I want to do:

Local Folders
  Inbox
    Important
    Work
    Mozilla
      Bugmail
      Planet
      tb-planning
      tb-enterprise
      comm-central checkins

How do you propose to order the folders into the order you want?

Sorting by drag and drop and storing either the position values directly or sorting the subfolders on a sort value which is an integer value and calculated mathematical rounding/flooring/ceiling of the average of the two folders next to the drop position (that needs only storing of one value per drag and drop as long as there is still a number available between the values of the two adjacent folders).

Alternative is to store positions in an array.
