Steps to reproduce:

Visit some site with checkboxes. Check a checkbox or search for a already checked one. For example the "CC List" checkbox on this site:

Problem does not occur everytime, but occurs on many different sites, so it is not site related.

Actual results:

Hovering over the checkbox renderes the checked status and shows the check mark. Moving the cursor away from the checkbox disables rendering sometimes again.


Expected results:

The check mark should have been visible without hovering over it.

I think this has happened maybe years ago; it might be related to the GTK, and might be specific to the build.  Can you reproduce it with any Mozilla build?

I've found bug 316996, but its effect is different.

I don't think bug 316996 is related to this one as there the problem only occurs in firefox dialogs.

I can not reproduce the problem with the Mozilla build from https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/19.0.2/linux-x86_64/de/.
