Steps to reproduce problem:
1. Open Advanced Search
2. Enter a custom search term ending in '+' e.g. approval-comm-beta+
3. Enter some other terms and click Search
4. After realising that your search terms are incorrect, click "Back"

Expected result: custom search term is still "approval-comm-beta+".

Actual result: custom search term is now "approval-comm-beta ".

Additional information: Problem does not occur if you show advanced features.
