A community member (Vincent, cc'd on this bug) asked if the animated fox shown at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/partners/ could be embedded on his website to discuss and promote Firefox OS. We created it just for the partners page but it wouldn't be too difficult to bundle it into a more portable form and make the asset available for use elsewhere.

We'd want to establish guidelines for its use and make it downloadable as part of the styleguide. We could do a simplified version with fewer frames, or even turn it into an animated gif instead of the CSS sprited animation (a gif would at least be self contained and wouldn't need any additional JS/CSS files to make it go).
Will defer to John on this one. John?
Whiteboard: Needs Follow-up
Hi Craig & Vincent. Sorry for missing this bug earlier. The version of that graphic shown on the MWC page is restricted for use to licensed partners only. In other words, we can't distribute that artwork to anyone who hasn't signed a certain tier of partnership agreement.

However, we do have the style shown at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/styleguide/identity/firefoxos/community/ available for more public use. If there's demand, we could look into putting in on the style guide with the info described by Craig in comment #0.
Thanks John. Craig, please let us know how you'd like to move forward.

If the full color fox image is reserved for partners then I don't think there's anything more we can do. We could perhaps work on an animated version in the blueprint outline style, but that doesn't seem especially useful (it wouldn't work out of context).

So I guess the short answer is "no" (sorry, Vincent!) and we can close this as WONTFIX. Thanks!
