Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0
Build ID: 20130329030352

Steps to reproduce:

I came to this hotel. I got an username + password from the hotel staff for wifi connection (for web login)

Actual results:

Firefox just shows the error as there was no connection.

Expected results:

The first connection should have been redirected to a hotel page for login before any internet could work.

Chrome works, I could login on that web form with Chrome. I use Ubuntu.
Did you wake up your laptop from sleep ?
Do you entered a previous used address like google that lead to that network error ?
Should it matter if it was woken from sleep or not? I think it was a simple startup, not a sleep-wake up process. Chrome works either way.

Yes, I tried some website addresses and instead of being detected & detecting the http redirections for web login, I got a page not found error.
Maybe related to bug 864258?
