We are shipping 6 Popcorn Makepacks for the June 15th Maker Party launch. This set of Makepacks will be format based, and include:

1) A Popcorn Make that exemplifies the format and inspires others to want to make something like it

2) A Thimble based tutorial integrated into the Make

3) A piece of "wowtext" (140 character sentence designed to encourage audiences to watch/remix)

4) A set of keyword tags designed for the MakeAPI to make it discoverable and related to similar Makes.

Makepack #3 will be in the format of a “Contextualizer.” This involves taking an audio/video clip or series of audio/video clips and adding context through annotations, popups, photos, maps, etc. Ideally this is done in a multi-pane layout so the events don’t cover up the video and become a distraction. 

An ideal use case would be for a journalist or blogger to take a breaking event witnessed and recorded from a cell phone, and add links and followup information as a story develops. Others can remix with their own perspective. 

Another use case would be to fact check a political speech or advertisement with popups that contain corrections and link to reliable sources. Others can remix with their own perspective.
