This has been implemented at webmaker-events#call-to-action (https://github.com/mozilla/webmaker-events/tree/call-to-action). I copied some client-side js code from webmaker.org/public/js/base/
carousel.js, so it might be a good idea to generalize that mechanism and just provide the data (maybe through template function) for the events CTA.
