Looked in preferences to disable javascript or turn off images


Actual results:

Couldn't find it anymore.


Expected results:

Such basic choices are parts of each browser's preferences from day 1 and should not be hidden from users.

It's an assumed choice of the UX team to make Firefox a modern browser (how many websites are usable without JavaScript or images?). For more info, see http://limi.net/checkboxes-that-kill/
To disable JavaScript, go to about:config and set javascript.enabled to false.

… or use an extension like NoScript, which allows for far greater control on this setting.
Well, I think it is a core function. Should be there.

Most of them. That is : millions.
See also Bug 998456 which is about disabling JS from about:config no longer working.  I feel almost like there is an evil plot going on.
