Details
Mozilla should have a plug-in manager under preferences. This plug-in manager would have options for enabling or disabling an installed plug-in (and if possible, uninstalling). A list of Plug-in(s) would be shown in the right portion of the preferences menu with each plug-in having a checkbox next to it for enabling/disabling and an UNINSTALL buttom similar to that under themes for performing the uninstallation routines. NOTE: a similar idea was proposed in bug 19118 but it is not exactly the same thing.

Dimo, please describe *why* this bug isn't exactly the same thing as bug 19118.
