Routing video to either of the Blackmagic mini recorders in SFO152 results in black screens.

The Crestron DM tool reports "EDID invalid" on those two outputs (screen shot attached). Do we need to find a way to force the output format to 720p in the absence of EDID data?

This makes it impossible to stream Air Mozilla from this room.

Hi Richard,
What resolution is being sent to the mini recorder when the EDID issue is experienced?

The screen shot was taken when we punched up the Apple TV, which is set to 720p. I get similar results when I try to route the output of the ATEM production switcher. The ATEM is very picky and only accepts a single video format. We have it set to 720p. Since virtually all input to the streamers will be coming from the ATEM I doubt we need a scaler on the inputs to the streamers. When I route the Apple TV through one of the ATEM aux inputs I can see it on the ATEM multiview, but I get exactly the same behavior out of the streamer (black screen, no video). (I think we already have scalers on those 4 inputs into the ATEM, don't we?)

I have yet to see a single frame of video appear on the streamer. I'm guessing there's something about the Blackmagic mini recorder that the DM doesn't like.

Is there a way to set the DM to always output 720p from those outputs?
Excerpt of email reply to above from John Neff @AVDG:

The DM switcher setup governs the EDID at input stage rather than the output stage (unless there is a scaler in line to hard set a resolution to). There is not currently a scaler inline at the switcher outputs to the Black Magic. This may probably just be taken care of by adding the Black Magic as a reference to the automatic EDID table. I currently left them out as a reference, as they restrict the overall resolution capabilities of the inputs pretty heavily).
Would feel a lot better about this if we actually knew what we did to fix it.
