Steps to reproduce:

Had a tab open with a large image (4+MB) and my connection to the host wasn't very fast. Closed the tab before the image was even 1/10th loaded.


Actual results:

According to my bandwidth monitor, the image continued to download in the background despite the tab having been closed.


Expected results:

The data should have stopped coming through immediately.

I'm pretty sure this is a known bug in imagelib, and that it happens on Gecko as well.

Sorry, I meant s/Gecko/desktop Firefox/, as opposed to B2G.  Except it looks like you're on desktop.

It's still early.  :)
