The text reads: "Once you've downloaded Firefox for Android Aurora, you can tap on any of these apps to reveal a QR code that you can scan to download it. You can also search for apps directly on the Marketplace. "

I am a technical user and I don't have a clue of what you mean with this paragraph. Where do I tap? How can I scan a QR code with Firefox Aurora? How do I scan QR codes displayed on the phone browser, using the phone browser?

In any case--shouldn't these apps work with Firefox OS too?

The idea is that you can bring up a QR code on the page and then scan that with your Android device, which has to have Firefox Aurora on it for the apps to work. I think the confusing bit is the word "tap," which I believe was included so it also made sense on mobile (but now it doesn't make as much sense on desktop).

Does the following make it any more clear?

"Below are a few of our favorite apps to get you started, but there are more to enjoy and explore. You can hover over or tap on the apps to reveal a QR code that you can scan with your Android to download them, but you have to have Firefox for Android Aurora running on the device first. You can also search for apps directly on the Marketplace."

We should offer an alternate message free of QR codes for those viewing this page on a mobile device where the user would just select the app the want and be brought to the app store. Currently the QR code shows up for these users. 

Is it worth filing a bug to update this page to handle mobile users now? What do you expect the removal date to be for this page?
