The same behavior is not seen in music player, and this is the expected behavior of a music player.

So just need a opinion about , what should be the expected behavior in case of FM.
Debatable, as I could see an argument for the current approach being okay for the use case of "I accidentally pulled my headphones from my phone."

I'll send it over to UX to figure this out.

Flagging Rob as this is his domain: he worked on speaker out, etc.

Sorry for the delay. Not sure if this is still relevant.

I feel that this should follow music and not automatically start playing if the headphone are removed and put back in again. It would be best if the user takes the action to start the radio again.
