Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:23.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/23.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130729175331

Steps to reproduce:

1. Typed in myebay in google to search for site.
2. Click link from google result of search.
3. Got to the 'Welcome to Ebay' page.

Actual results:

Drop-down/pop-up message appears stating:
Error: Illegal operation on WrappedNative prototype object

This results in preventing me from typing my log in details. I have to click on the ok button to acknowledge the message and make it go away.

Expected results:

I should be able to just get to the page without this constant message popping up and holding stuff up. This is not unique to ebay, this happens to a number of websites and causes a slowing down of multiple tabs opening and it is irritating. Before the upgrade, I did not have this problem with firefox at all.

Tried to take a screen shot of the problem, but with the message popped up it prevents you from doing anything else until you click the ok button.

Add-on issue probably.

Try in safe mode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

Then try with a clean profile:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

Does it work normally?

Went through the safe mode procedure and found the problem didn't appear.

So I then tried disabling of hardware acceleration. No problem there when I restarted firefox.

This therefore lead me to investigate my various extensions and found that Videosurf was the culprit of that pop-up. I removed it and so far, there doesn't seem to be any problems.
