What did you set the Geolocation preference to?

It was the test default: self.apps.set_permission('Homescreen', 'geolocation', 'deny')

This is still reproducing on Gecko http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/57d160eda301 Gaia 9563c38e0cd3fbaaec2a40cd525baf7df5098f2f BuildID 20130924145806 Version 27.0a1 If we let it enough time it crashes the phone. https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/40ce7f6b-f61e-4bf4-a148-3453f2130925

This is caused by the 'session' request failing. After the session request fails, other requests fail as well but are not reported as failures. Since there is no indication the 'search' request failed, the offline message is not shown.
