As what we have seen on bug 898156 the background thumbnail generation is causing crashes when the access to an FTP server happens through a proxy like squid, and it routes everything through HTTP. Given that we are the only ones who can have tests with proxies we should get such a test implemented.

Those steps should be enough:
1. Setup a proxy which routes FTP through HTTP
2. Start Firefox and open an FTP page via the FTP protocol
3. As best restart Firefox and wait for a couple of seconds

To get this implemented we need an open squid proxy first. This will be implemented via bug 917204.

Our testing infrastructure doens't allow us anymore to create such a test. Also Mozmill doesn't exist anymore.
