From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.1) Gecko/20010607
BuildID: 200106703

nim.xpi doesn't install properly. This may be by design because netscape wishes
to keep it seperate or something but it should at least still install on mozilla
if someone finds the xpi and tries to install it

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Install NIM.xpi on mozilla

Actual Results: Recommended tab doesn't come up in sidebar

Expected Results: NIM appears somewhere in sidebar
I'm not even sure if mozilla supports nim.xpi.

What build of mozilla did you try this with? Where did you get nim.xpi from
(URL)?
This is probably invalid -- look in your task menu and see if the IM item
appears. If it does and it works then NIM installed just fine. If it didn't
install fine we probably want to know about it in case of serious general
install bugs, but I'm sure AOL probably doesn't want us to spend a lot of time
fixing this if it's a NIM/Mozilla specific thing.

The sidebar panel is not installed with NIM, it's part of the localized
profile content stuff, and in fact there's a different bug that you get the IM
sidebar panel on N6 even if you don't install NIM.
Marking this Invalid, as NIM is designed for NS 6.x only and isnt supposed to
work with Mozilla

Updating summary so we don't re-open this if at some point in the future the
nim.xpi does legitimately break. The reporter did not answer questions about
whether the NIM software itself worked.

Also the nature of most Mozilla components is that they only work when matched
to the correct version of XPCOM. If the N6.0 version of NIM was attempted to be
installed into the Moz0.9.1 version, for example, I would expect that to fail
horribly.
