Changing servers in account settings doesn't update mapping in folder shown in tree on right pane

Steps to reproduce:

Changed the imap server an outgoing (SMTP) server for one of my accounts, e.g.  from theoldserve.com to thenewserver.com


Actual results:

IMAP mappings for the folders displayed in tree format on the left pane of 
Thunderbird (right click on folder, folder properties> General 
Information tab) still direct to old server, e.g.

Name: Sent Items
Location: imap://tcmarn2%40fantasy.com@theoldserver.com/Sent%20Items



Expected results:

IMAP mappings for the folders displayed in tree format on the left pane of 
Thunderbird (right click on folder, folder properties> General 
Information tab) should have pointed to the new server updated through account settings.
I think this is simply how TB works. The string is an internal identifier and does not change once the account is set up, even when you change the server later. You can also see that Local directory field in the account settings did not change and the messages are stored locally in the subfolder called after the old server. But I assume the account is working correctly with the new server, only the internal string appears wrong to you.

See e.g. bug 274027.

Not sure why you mention outgoing SMTP server and then click on a folder. That would indicate you are interested in the incoming server.

It is working but because the new server name is part of migration (and old name of server is still working) I had no way of knowing if it will continue working once the old name is disabled

Correct. I mentioned it to highlight that I had changed the server name both for in and out.

Ok, if "[WADA]Account name is only a display label and can be any string if not conflict." then we can close this bug.
