Hello found a bug for persona

is the bug it seems to be a issue with the bugzilla.mozilla.org site what is causing this bug,

the reason why we do this is in bug 842784.  probably worth re-testing persona to see if they have resolved the auto-login issue.

no.  development on persona itself has stalled, their stateless api isn't available yet, and this isn't a high priority issue for bugzilla.

if you need to use bugzilla from a windows phone device, i suggest using bugzilla's 'forgot password' mechanism to set a password on your bugzilla account, and use a username + password instead of persona to log in to bugzilla.

Hey :glob,

As of 2-3 weeks ago, the stateless API is partially available in production. We're still missing a few cosmetic bits (https://github.com/mozilla/persona/issues/4134), but the core login/logout functionality works.

I'm happy to write a patch now, which would solve this today. The only regression would be a loss of the "Bugzilla@Mozilla" site name in the popup (the "bugzilla.mozilla.org" hostname would, of course, remain.)

Would that be useful?

it would, however this is a low priority issue for us, so there's no rush.


as we've been bitten in the past by using pre-release persona APIs, i want to wait until goldilocks is feature complete and announced before we start working on switching bmo to using it.

sorry but that isn't true - only 0.02% of our requests are from windows phone users, and 0.001% of our requests are from authenticated users on a windows phone.
