It could be interesting to see what are the most requested permissions. That could be fuelled to the WebAPI/Security teams to focus their efforts on exposing APIs to regular content instead of privileged content.
This sounds like a nice idea.

The way I understand it, we wouldn't need a time-series graph of permissions across all apps over time, but more a "report" of the permissions sorted by most used.

If we stored permission in our database backend this could be as simple as a report we run or a page in our stats section, looking at top permissions across all public apps.
