User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20131029083213 Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to about:config 2. Search for network.dns.disablePrefetch Actual results: Right-click on network.dns.disablePrefetch → toggle has no effect. Expected results: The value should change from true or false to false or true, respectively.

It does toggle for me. It sounds like something may be watching that pref and then reverting your change as soon as you make it. Maybe an add-on? Can you reproduce in safe mode with add-ons disabled? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
