Details

Now that data domain works in phx as per bug 890916, it would be great to get it in scl3. This bug is dependent on SRE's getting a Data Domain machine in scl3, which they don't have. I've heard that the backup strategy may be rethought, as well.

Currently, databases in scl3 are keeping 3 days' worth of backups, whereas those in phx can keep a few months' worth. We should even this out.

Not going to happen. Right now we're copying data from scl3 to the data domain in phx1, so we can keep the same # of backups for machines regardless of the data center they're in.
