I just flashed my first FFOS build from B2G branch 1.2 on to a LG Google Nexus 4 device. I used the "BRANCH=v1.2 ./config.sh nexus-4" command line to configure. After first boot, the device never finds any wlan networks (when the phone still was an Android phone, it was happily connected to my home wlan network), but the blue "Searching..." circle keeps spinning indefinitely in the Wi-Fi menu under "Available networks" option. If I go to Manage networks page, it says MAC address: Not available. How would I debug this?

Rebuilt and flashed latest B2G to the device today (master branch, shows up as version 1.5.0.0), and the wifi is not enabled there either.

(In reply to Jukka Jylänki from comment #1) > Rebuilt and flashed latest B2G to the device today (master branch, shows up > as version 1.5.0.0), and the wifi is not enabled there either. What android version was the nexus 4 before flashing to B2G? Make sure the original one was 4.3.

Oh sorry - did not see your comment before Henry. I have to say I don't remember at all which Android I had there. I rebuilt and flashed latest trunk today, and wifi doesn't still work. Are there people who do have it working? I wonder what the difference is?
It works here. but it required flashing from android 4.3. flashing from android 4.4 resulted in wifi not working.

I rebuilt and flashed latest trunk today, and no wifi still. Attached adb logcat and adb shell getprop results. I think the phone is on top of Android 4.3. Is there anything useful in the logs?

ADB logcat run from Nexus 4 while trying to enable wifi.

Just to clarify, my procedure was 1. Have a Nexus 4 phone with stock Android 4.3 bought from the store. On a Linux Ubuntu host: 2. git clone git://github.com/mozilla-b2g/B2G.git 3. cd B2G 4. ./config.sh nexus-4 5. ./build.sh 6. ./flash.sh all steps succeeded without errors and the phone rebooted to the FFOS 2 main screen with the red background.
Just coming here to confirm that flashing my Nexus 4 to Android 4.3 before B2G corrects the WiFi issue.

(In reply to Anthony Hughes, QA Mentor (:ashughes) from comment #9) > Just coming here to confirm that flashing my Nexus 4 to Android 4.3 before > B2G corrects the WiFi issue. PS I'm not sure if that invalidates this bug or not.
