When you drag the splitter splitting the folderpane/ (messageview/threadpane),
we lag very much. Try it, you'll see. (This was with a debug build, so it might
have been exaggerated, but I believe you should get bad results in an opt. too.)

This is after the folder_outliner landing.

Maybe we are repaintaing the outliner all the time or something?

This is because blake turned on live dragging of columns and splitters; not a
folderpane problem.

Are we sure this is INVALID?  Don't we want to optimize our paints here?
What is there to optimize? 

If anything, this is a outliner-core performance problemn.
It just seems much slower dragging horizontally than vertically...
yes, because you need to update a bigger area (more rows).
verified, dragging splitter horizontally and vertically basically the same and
OK using branch build 20020522 on winxp, mac 9.1 and linux.
