The unread count on the Dock icon can be hard to read over the release icon.

The color is defined at http://lxr.instantbird.org/instantbird/source/purple/purplexpcom/src/nsDockTile.cpp#89

I'm not sure of what a better color is (begin the bikeshedding...)

If we can come up w/ a better color I'm willing to do the patch for it. (I'm not sure if we could make it configurable / whether it'd be worth it, but it's something to consider.)

As we no longer support Mac OS X 10.4, we can just use the Cocoa API -> nice code reduction: https://hg.instantbird.org/instantbird/rev/f7a0a00d2a7f :-)
