This happened for quite a while already. The first time I noticed this was after switching to Windows 8.1 (Preview). And it still happens now.
Some random parts of Firefox become black. I haven't noticed this glitch on other apps, just on Firefox.

Note that if the glichy part of the screen changes (maximizing/minizing for example), the glitch no longer appears.
Didn't see this since we started testing Windows 8.1. What graphics card are you using? Is your graphics drive up-to-date? If not, please update it and let us know if you still reproduce the issue.

I have 2 graphics cards (not sure Firefox uses which one) : Intel Graphics HD 3000 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M. All of them are up to date.

Note that this problem might be related to some parts of e10s already integrated into Firefox Nightly.

Did you enable e10s? (browser.tabs.remote pref in about:config)

Nope, but I've heard some parts are already e10s, whether the pref enabled or not.
But if you want to, I could test if it happens in e10s mode too.

That wouldn't be such a good idea, e10s is unstable for the moment.

Try to disable the hardware acceleration in Firefox, it might fix your issue.

Tried it, still got the glitches.
Please check if the issue occurs using Firefox in safe mode (with your addons disabled):
http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode

Or in a new, empty profile:

Yes, it does.
Do you still reproduce this in the latest nightly ?
