Details

We rely on the fallback default size for the platform. That used to be, IIRC, best practice... but now we get logspew:

I/global(2407): Default buffer size used in BufferedReader constructor. It would be better to be explicit if an 8k-char buffer is required.

We should decide whether we want to pin the buffer size to a fixed value (let's use science!), or WONTFIX this and accept the logspew.
