E/GeckoConsole(   44): [JavaScript Error: "not well-formed" {file: "app://browser.gaiamobile.org/js/init.json" line: 1 column: 1 source: "{"}]

This happens after starting up the emulator, tested with the jb version of the emulator in pvt builds, with timestamp 20140114154437, then launching the Browser app.

Not sure how to move this forward, setting needinfo? from Ben Francis (Gaia::Browser module owner).

This error is pretty harmless. I can't remember what causes it, but init.json is indeed valid JSON and is parsed correctly.

Are you seeing any actual reproduceable problems other than the error message itself?

It is discussed in bug 959493 to eventually flag these types of errors as failures in TBPL.
