User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20131205075310

Steps to reproduce:

I tried to left click on a regular image link and was unable to open the webpage. I had to right click to get to the webpage. This also happens on other webpages when I try to open links in new tabs. I happened specifically on this website most recently: http://www.holisticdentalstore.com/tooth-powder.htm

Actual results:

The link wouldn't open. Webpage did not change.

Expected results:

I should of clicked on the image/link and it should of took me to next webpage.

Is there a specific, reproducible image on a specific website that this happens with, so somebody else could try to reproduce?

Also, does the problem still happen if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? (Safe Mode disables extensions and themes, hardware acceleration and some JavaScript stuff in order to exclude some possible reasons for problems. It does not disable plugins which are add-ons.) See http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode

I solved the issue. The issue was happening due to the Avast addon. Once I changed the settings on it, it worked fine. Hope this helps anyone else going through this problem.

Closing old bugs in the Plugins component. We aren't going to track issues in 3rd-party plugins in the Mozilla bug tracker. In addition, support for NPAPI plugins will be removed at the end of this year; for more details see the post at https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2015/10/08/npapi-plugins-in-firefox/

If there is a serious bug in Firefox, it needs to be filed in the "Core" product, "Plug-Ins" component.
