Details

Bug 949458 was first fixed by setting mTabsCounter to LAYER_TYPE_HARDWARE. This resulted in intermittent libGLESv2 failures (more information in bug 749544). Changing the layer type to LAYER_TYPE_SOFTWARE fixed the crash as a workaround, but we should still figure out what was going on.
