Details

(Whiteboard: [filterfails])

Setting:

- I'm using one global inbox (Inbox on Local Folders) for 2 of my accounts
- I have a bunch of filters, set to run on Inbox on Local Folders
- first _3_ are following:
  - match all
  - X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason is Component-Watcher
  - X-Bugzilla-Component <1st filter: is Networking, 2nd filter: begins with Security, 3rd filter: begins with Build>
  - X-Bugzilla-Type is new
  - Tag Message Important
  - _Stop Filter execution_
- followed by a filter (4th):
  - match all
  - From is bugzilla-daemon@mozilla.org
  - X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason is Component-Watcher
  - Move Message to bugzilla watch on Local Folders
- followed by some other filters, not related to this issue..

Expected:

All Networking, Security*, Build* new bug notifications remain in my global inbox

Actual:

Stop Filter execution is executed only for the first filter (Networking), others are marked with the Important tag, but are moved to the bugzilla watch folder despite Stop Filter execution in all the 3 filters
Would you be able to try out patch in bug 695671? I know, the bug summary is about a different problem, but the patch is a more general cleanup of filter handling.
Also, this looks like what bug 537501 describes.

I've seen that bug. Was hoping it's not the same issue.

I try to find time, currently I'm on Earlybird tho.
The patch is in no tree yet. But we could produce a nightly build with it for you.

Please do, I don't remember how to push to comm-central try exactly...
Please try a build from here:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/try-builds/archaeopteryx@coole-files.de-900f15bb8e2b/

While the patch doesn't seem to cause any test failures (regressions in test functionality), backup your profile and mail data before trying it.

Seems like it's now broken completely! The "new bug reports" being watched are all moved to the "bugzilla watch" folder, now also those that begin with "Networking" - which is the first filter... So this patch regresses...
let's be optimistic, and assume bug 537501 fixes this. So when bug 537501 is patched, if you still have trouble then please reopen the bug.
