If you try to "edit page" (ctrl-e or from the menu) on a jpeg image, the editor loads all the way and then pops an error saying "this type of page can't be edited." Since the editor sometimes takes quite a while to load, and ctrl-e is close enough to both ctrl-r and ctrl-w that there's a significant opportunity for typos, this is a real pain. It would be a lot better if it could check the type of page being viewed and pop an error before even loading the editor. On another note, it would be really nice to be able just not have the editor there at all, or at least be able to disable the ctrl-e shortcut. I never, ever, ever use the editor, but at least once a week I inadvertently launch it (and have to wait for it to load) when I mean to reload (ctrl-r) or close the window (ctrl-w).

When viewing an image ctrl-e is no longer active in the current 2.53 build. Probably fixed some time ago.
