Strange choice of attribute name?

Details
I notice that the properties attribute on outlinercells is a whitespace-delimited list of tokens that may be used in CSS styles. This sounds remarkably like the use of the class attribute which I would have thought could have been used to relate to styles although I understand that this might cause some confusion.

Sorry, I think properties is the right term. The way they are used inside the custom outliner pseudo-elements is not the same way class is used in CSS rules. Using the term class would only confuse the issue.
