Details

Build: Linux 2001-09-07-12 (also seen on Win98, but less easy to reproduce)

Steps to reproduce:

1) Make sure alerts when going from insecure to secure are enabled
2) Click on the URL link of this bug (goes to https://meine.db24.de)
3) Wait 10 seconds before clicking the OK button on the alert that comes up

Expected results:
Page does not load until I click OK on alert. This allows me to cancel the
  load once that's hooked up.

Actual results:
Page loads with the alert still up.
I believe this is a dup of 62178.

A proper implementation of a fix for bug 62178 would need to fix this
certainly... but this used to work and no longer does, while 62178 has never
worked.

Summary: Going insecure to secure -- page loads before warning alert dismissed → Going insecure to secure or vice versa -- page loads before warning alert dismissed
*** Bug 111465 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I don't think this behaved different in the past.

I tried a Mozilla 094 based browser, and while the warning is up, the page does
still load in the background.

I agree this is a dupe, we need to implement a correct fix for 62178.

OK. Verified duplicate, in that case. Like I said, it's sporadic, so maybe I
just never saw it with older builds.
